A hand-built work by the artist Takasho (高庄), this piece represents contemporary ceramic art that integrates traditional Japanese techniques.

The softly rounded form is inspired by traditional storage cages found in historical Japanese daily life, conveying a sense of calm, simplicity, and stability.

The surface is distinguished by the Yōhen glaze technique, where natural color transformations occur during firing. Subtle tones of gray, white, and brown merge organically, ensuring that no two pieces share the same pattern.

Accented with Kincai (gold inlay) lines, the work achieves a refined contrast between the raw, tranquil ceramic surface and the understated luxury of gold.

Each piece is handmade directly by the artist and comes with an original kiribako wooden box (tomobako) bearing a clear signature and ink seal, making it suitable for high-level collecting.
