Emerald Green Ceramic Flower Vase

฿7,900.00

A rare emerald-green ceramic vase from the Henan kiln, created as part of a revival of ancient East Asian celadon traditions with a history spanning over a thousand years.

Rooted in the legacy of Korean Goryeo celadon of the 12th–13th centuries, this tradition once flourished as an international cultural art form, traded across China and Japan. The vase reflects the nearly lost inlaid celadon technique, a method that disappeared in the 14th century due to its extreme complexity.

The Henan kiln, founded by Japanese artisans trained under Korean masters, remains one of the few in Japan to preserve traditional wood firing at temperatures reaching 1,280°C, reviving the legendary jade-like celadon glaze.

Each piece features a custom-formulated emerald-green glaze with natural crackle patterns, ensuring no two are alike. Rare double-layer openwork piercing and zoomorphic handles reference forms once favored by East Asian aristocracy.

Produced between the 1980s and 1990s, this vase is 30–40 years old, in excellent condition, and exists as a single, one-of-a-kind piece. Its rarity and cultural significance continue to enhance its value.

Suitable for floral arrangements or display, it brings a calm, refined presence to tea rooms, living spaces, or curated collections.
