A Shinko-yaki work within the Hagi-yaki tradition, this vessel is an essential utensil in the Japanese tea ceremony.
Crafted from Hagi clay, it is distinguished by its simple, natural surface texture that reflects the calm and restrained beauty of Wabi-sabi aesthetics.
Finished with the Tenmoku Nagashi glazing technique, white glaze flows organically over a deep brown surface, creating unique, unrepeatable patterns on each piece.
The vessel is accompanied by a traditional black-lacquered wooden lid (urushi), a classic form used in tea rooms.
Created by Toshuzan (東秀山), a Hagi-yaki artist, this work assures both quality and authenticity of origin.
