These miniature-sized works emphasize exceptional craftsmanship and precision, expressing the distinctive identity of Arita pottery through form, color, and balanced detail.
Decorated using the Kincai technique (gold overglaze), each cup features hand-carved spiral motifs, meticulously accented with gold applied along the carved grooves. This creates a striking contrast and depth between the black tenmoku glaze and the luminous gold.
Each cup is entirely handmade. Variations in pattern and the weight of gold occur naturally, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Presented in an original kiribako wooden box (tomobako) with a clear artisan seal, making the set well-suited for collectors.
